Service Overview

General information concerning our services:

Service Types : Reservices : Preparing For Your Service

Service Types:

  • Perimeter & crack and crevice treatment:
Power sprayer from truck will be used around the base of house and yard.
  • De-webbing of eaves:
Includes knocking down accessible spider webs and wasp nests generally up to 18 feet!
  • Back- pack & granulations:
A back-pack sprayer and or granulations will be used periodically as deemed necessary by the technician.
  • Inside treatments (as needed):
A variety of different inside treatments are used depending on the nature of the problem. Your technician will evaluate what is necessary and treat appropriately.

Don't hesitate to ask questions. If there is a specific procedure you may not understand, your technician will be more than happy to explain his reasons behind using a particular method.

Results from each service may vary depending on your personal levels of preparations as well as the severity of the infestation. Though you should notice a substantial difference in pest activity after your first treatment; complete control of a pest problem generally can take some time. Most products are designed to kill over extended periods of time rather than upon contact, thus allowing us to exterminate a whole colony rather than only the surface problems.

Re-services

These are services between your regular services. These are normal and expected, especially when the service is first initiated, or if you have never had a pest control service before. These are just quick services to take care of pests that may have resurfaced or that still present a problem.

It is generally the nature of insects to hide, and sometimes, although rare, after being treated, you may see them come out of hiding. In most cases these insects have been treated and will die fairly soon. If however they become a problem, don't hesitate to call us back. (Ants for example, may have a tendency to try to move from one side of the house to the other.)

It is normal to continue seeing some bugs, as pest control is a process rather than a one-time treatment. A common misconception is that your property will be completely bug-ridden after one treatment.

When should you call for a Re-Service?

  • When a line of ants has formed in the house. (Seeing a few ants is okay - it is only a matter of time before those will cross our material and die.)
  • If 2 weeks after your last service, the particular pest is still being seen constantly.
  • With rodents, at the first sign of an odor, or if you continue to hear them after 7-10 days.
  • If you are still having flea bites after 10-14 days.
  • For any emergency, or at any point you don't feel you can wait for the next regular service.

* Please pay special attention to the preparation section below before calling for a re-service.

Preparing For Your Service

Outside

  • Pick up toys, bicycles, and any objects that may obstruct the technician from doing a full service. Generally moving things away from against the side of the house and along the fence is fine.
  • Cut down tall grass and weeds. Service can still be performed with them, however removing harborage areas is a very important step.
  • For best results, do not water the lawn for at least 24-48 hours after the service, depending on how wet the lawn is.
  • Pick up any pet food. Move water dish away from the edge of house.

Inside

Spiders, crickets, silverfish, and other general pests

  • Move all articles of clothing, toys, and anything loose that can be picked up away from the walls, including furniture if possible.

Ants

  • Pay special attention to where any trails may be coming from. Note them for the technician. (example: ants in the downstairs bathroom, coming from under sink.)
  • Clean up kitchen & bathrooms; put away food, sweep the floor, wash dishes, etc.
  • Pick up any pet food.
  • Do not use Raid or any other kind of bug spray, as they have a tendency to neutralize the effects of our products.

Roaches

  • Wash counters, floors, walls, and cupboards thoroughly.
  • Remove all food and dishes from cupboards.
  • Be prepared to stay out of the kitchen and bathrooms for 3 hours.
  • Following service, make sure to keep food in containers & quickly clean up messes. Do not leave unclean dishes or food out over night! It is very important to keep a clean environment so as to avoid attracting roaches.

Rodents

  • Block off all entry ways into the house. Exclusionary work is the most important step in getting rid of these pests.
  • Make a note of any specific areas you may be seeing or hearing them. (Which walls? In the attic above which rooms? In the floor or under the bathtubs?)
  • Keep all pet food stored away in some form of container, preferably off of the ground.
  • Keep pets out of the areas where traps and other rodent treatments are applied.

Fleas/Ticks

  • All toys and obstacles outside need to be removed from the whole yard.
  • All clothing, shoes, toys, and any other obstacles need to be removed from all carpeted areas of the house.
  • Bedding should be removed from beds.
  • All pets and humans need to leave house after the service is completed for a minimum of 3-4 hours.
  • If possible use some sort of flea program with your pets. We would recommend either Front Line, Advantage or something similar in nature.
  • Any bedding or clothing that has been infested should be washed.
